The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting annual conference is June 8 and 9 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
Nomination Deadline for the Howard S. Dubin Outstanding Pro Member Award is June 21. SPJ honors individual members who have made significant contributions to their chapters.
The entry deadline for the Eugene S. Pulliam First Amendment Award is June 21. The $10,000 award recognizes the accomplishments on behalf of First Amendment freedoms by an individual, group of individuals or an organization.
The Sigma Delta Chi Awards Banquet is June 21 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
The nomination deadline for the SPJ Wells Memorial Key is June 21.
The SPJ D.C. Pro chapter freelancers’ lunch is June 26 at the National Press Building in Washington, D.C.
The deadline for SPJ Chapter Grant Applications is July 15.
International Conference on Journalism and Mass Communication is Aug. 25 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Excellence in Journalism Conference is Sept. 5-7 in San Antonio, Texas. The Society of Professional Journalists is sponsoring the conference with Radio Television Digital News Association and National Association of Hispanic Journalists. Early registration ends June 27.
The deadline for SPJ Chapter Grant Applications is Oct. 15.

The Solutions Journalism Network will offer a webinar June 11 for RTDNA members June 11. The webinar will discuss why rigorous reporting on responses to social problems is important. Presenters will explain steps in reporting a solutions story.
The Alabama Media Professionals will present Mike Royer, a broadcaster for more than 40 years, June 13 at the Homewood Library in Homewood, Alabama. The event is $5 for nonmembers. Organizers are requesting RSVPs by June ll. For details, call 205-243-1233.
Investigative Reporters and Editors will hold its IRE 19 conference June 13-16 in Houston, Texas.
The National Press Photographers Association will present the Best of Photojournalism Awards and Speaker Series Sponsored by Sony June 14-15 in Atlanta, Georgia. The event will be at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center.

The Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference is July 19-21 in Dallas, Texas. The theme this year is “Justice in America.”
The 2019 Asian American Journalists Association National Convention is July 31-Aug. 3 in Atlanta, Georgia. Pre-registration discount for active AAJA members is due by June 19.
The 2019 National Association of Black Journalists Annual Convention and Career Fair is Aug. 7-11 in Miami, Florida.
